NICA
Because Medicare, Medicaid and other types of health insurance can be confusing to most people, the State of Nebraska has developed a free program to educate older Nebraskans about their health insurance. The Nebraska Health Insurance Information, Counseling and Assistance Program (NICA) provides this free service to seniors.
NICA's trained volunteers can provide:
- Information and support during the consumer's decision-making process.
- A review of individual health insurance plans.
- Unbiased information.
- Free services and literature.
To access the NICA program, simply contact the co-sponsoring agency nearest you, and ask to speak with a NICA Volunteer:
